The Kenton High School athletic schedule for the week of Sept. 9-14 is as follows:

BELLEFONTAINE — West Liberty-Salem built a 51-point lead by halftime and coasted through the second half in a 54-0 rout of Ben Logan on Friday night. West Liberty quarterback Trevor Woodruff threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another score and Trent Berry added a pair of scores on 78 yards rushing to lead the Tigers. They led 24-0 after 12 minutes before scoring four times in the second quarter.

ARLINGTON — Facing a 14-0 deficit against Arlington on the road early in the second quarter, the Ada Bulldogs rallied to close the gap to 14-12 three minutes into the second half of Friday’s non-conference football game. But the Bulldogs were outscored 12-0 in the second half and suffered the 26-12 loss. They fall to 0-2 on the season, while Arlington improves to 2-0.

RAWSON — Devan Sousley scored the winning touchdown on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter to lift Upper Scioto Valley to a 28-20 victory over host Cory-Rawson on Friday night The Rams, who improve to 2-0, trailed 20-14 before scoring two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

VAN WERT — Host Van Wert defeated Kenton 4-1 in a Western Buckeye League girls tennis matchup on Thursday.

Celina made quick work of the Kenton volleyball team, sweeping the Wildcats 25-9, 25-15, 25-9 in a Western Buckeye League match. The Wildcats fall to 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in WBL play.

CELINA — Celina scored the only goal of the game on an own goal with 26 minutes left in the contest to pick up a 1-0 win over Kenton in a Western Buckeye League boys soccer matchup on Thursday night.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan girls golf team set a nine-hole school record of 160 in a win over Urbana at Liberty Hills Golf Course on Thursday afternoon.

URBANA — Ben Logan swept host Urbana in three sets 25-21, 25-16, 25-16 in a Central Buckeye Conference volleyball matchup on Thursday night.

COLUMBUS GROVE — Haley Frey had a pair of goals as Riverdale defeated Columbus Grove 4-0 in a non-conference girls soccer matchup on Thursday afternoon.
