TROTWOOD — The Ben Logan girls swimming team won a meet at Trotwood Madison on Wednesday night, scoring 414 points. It was the first in-season meet the Raiders have ever won.

MOUNT BLANCHARD - Riverdale’s wrestlers split a pair of dual matches with McComb and Van Buren in a BVC tri-match on Wednesday. Riverdale edged McComb 30-23.

The Kenton basketball team ran away with easy wins over Indian Lake and Waynesfield-Goshen in its first two games this season. In the past two games, including a 46-29 victory over Ben Logan on Tuesday night, the Wildcats have shown they can grind out victories in defensive battles.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Using a halfcourt press defense, Riverdale was able to force steals and turn them into points, leading to a 51-22 girls basketball victory over Ada on Tuesday night. Riverdale improves to 4-4 on the season, while Ada falls to 1-4.

The Kenton High School swim teams swept Wynford and split a meet with Bellefontaine at the Hardin County YMCA on Tuesday night. The Wildcats boys defeated Wynford 62-29 and Bellefontaine 63-29.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan bowling teams dropped a pair of matches against Central Buckeye Conference foe Urbana on Tuesday night. Urbana edged the Lady Raiders by 13 pins 2,192-2,179.

MOUNT VICTORY — Allen East took control in the second half on the way to a 69-57 victory over Ridgemont in non-league boys basketball action on Tuesday night. Ridgemont led 15-9 after one quarter before the Mustangs rallied to tie the game at 28-28 at halftime and then outscored the Gophers 22-12 in the third eight minutes,

MOUNT VICTORY — Trailing by eight points after the first half, Ridgemont was looking to get a good start to the third quarter and cut into the Botkins lead. But it was the Trojans that came out of the half firing, netting five 3-pointers in the quarter on their way to earning a 63-38 girls basketball win over Ridgemont on Monday night.

VAN BUREN — A 17-11 third quarter advantage put some distance between Van Buren and Hardin Northern as the Black Knights topped the Polar Bears 47-40 in a non-league girls basketball game on Monday.

Three of the five Kenton wrestlers that competed placed as the Wildcat wrestlers were ninth of 16 teams at the Bucyrus Invitational on Saturday.
