KHS, Defiance tie 1-1

DEFIANCE — Kenton and Defiance played to a 1-1 tie in a Western Buckeye League boys soccer matchup on Thursday. After a scoreless first half, the Wildcats took the lead two minutes into the second stanza when Hayden Hicks scored off an assist from Landon Bartlett.

Raiders sweep Urbana

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan swept Urbana 25-10, 25-9, 27-25 in a Central Buckeye Conference volleyball matchup on Thursday night. The Raiders improve to 4-2 on the season. It was their first league match.

Weber, Collier pace Falcons in tri-meet

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s boys won a cross country tri-meet with Allen East and Cory-Rawson on Thursday afternoon. Led by Eli Weber and Miles Frey’s first and second place finishes, respectively, the Falcons finished with 24 points, while Allen East ended with 31.

Simovart fires 2-under par to lead Raiders

Wildcats look to stay hot at Defiance

After a disappointing effort in week one, the Kenton football team got on track with a dominating performance in a 49-13 rout of Celina last Friday. The Wildcats look to make it two wins in a row when they travel to Defiance on Friday night to square off against the 2-0 Bulldogs. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
