‘Adventure Day’ to kick of Faith VBS

A family “Adventure Day” will be conducted at the Faith Baptist Church of Kenton, 402 E. Forest Rd., this Sunday as the church kicks off its Vacation Bible School: Investigation Destination – Follow Clues to the King of Kings.”
The day will begin with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. followed by Worship Service at 10:45 a.m.
A 12:15 p.m. lunch will be served at the Detectives Diner, where diners may choose from a menu that will include Under-cover chicken. Spy-spuds, Secret-agent Sunglass Salad, Thumb-print cookies and more. Following lunch, adventure seekers will set out on a challenging course of obstacles and games. The entire family may participate in the Adventure Day, which will conclude at 1:30 p.m.
“Investigation Destination” will begin Monday evening and continue through Friday from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m.
According to Pastor Dennis Burns, the VBS is for children ages 4 through sixth grade (last school year). Investigation Destination will turn students into secret agents, investigators on a special mission to discover clues about a special person, the King of Kings. There will be exciting Bible teaching, crafts, games, puppets and snacks.
