The Kenton Council of Churches will host a Community Thanksgiving Service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Central Church of Christ, 815 E. Columbus St.
The theme for the evening will be “Give Thanks for Hope.”
The program will be the New Hope Ministry Park (homeless shelter) and Pastor Donald C. Coleman, interim pastor of St. John’s United Church of Christ, will bring the message.
Special music will be by the Simon Kenton Choir.
Monetary donations will go to help the New Hope Ministry Park, while canned goods and non-perishable items will go to the Neighborhood Opportunity Center.
Dola-Dunkirk
Dola and Dunkirk area churches will be hosting their annual Community Thanksgiving Service at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church.
Churches from Dola, Dunkirk and the surrounding area will be gathering at St. John to give thanks for the year’s many blessings. An evening of music will be presented by members from participating congregations and Holy Communion will be served.
A special offering will be taken for the Community Emergency Assistance Fund.
Everyone is invited to attend. St. John Lutheran is located at the corner of County Roads 115 and 60.
