Car show to benefit nursing home residents

ARLINGTON — The Good Samaritan Society – Arlington will host its second annual car show on Sept. 13 at its center, 100 Powell Drive.
Community members are invited to enter their hot rods, classic cars and motorcycles. The registration fee is $10 before Sept. 7. After that, it will be $15. Pre-registration participants will receive a T-shirt to commemorate the event. There will be food and fun for the family.
“The donations we received last year from this event have helped our residents have a better quality of life. We are excited to offer this family fun event to our community,” said Khrista Beckmann, director of resource development.
