Dunkirk will be holding a community festival and fourth annual car show on Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Activities include a home run derby starting at 11 a.m. and a corn hole tournament at 2 p.m. The contact person is Phyllis Spencer at 419-759-3587.
A Karaoke contest will start at 4 p.m. with the contact person being Wendy Delong at 740-624-8801 with cash prizes for these events.
Free carnival games will be held, along with a bounce house, caricature drawings, massage therapist, sidewalk chalk art activities, train rides, a dunk tank with many members of the community participating.
There will be a chicken and pork chop barbecue starting at noon until sold out. Presale tickets are available from any CIC member with a limited number available the day of the festival. There will also be lots of other food available.
A book auction will be held for copies of the Dunkirk Centennial 1852-1952. There will be raffle tickets, 50-50 drawings, door prizes and many other activities during the day.
Proceeds go to benefit the park projects, including electrical upgrades.
