Ada seniors plan trip to Union Co. covered bridges

The Ada Senior Citizens is planning a bus trip to the Bridges of Union County on Wednesday, June 27. The bus will be ready to be boarded at the Railroad Depot in Ada at 8 a.m. Departure time is 8:15 a.m. and the bus should return by 5 p.m.
Union County has seven covered bridges. The trip will include a visit to at least four of them.
The trip begins with breakfast (brunch) at Der Dutchman in Plain City. There are shops at this location for browsing. The second stop will be Yutzy’s Cheese House. Amish cheeses and other items are available at Yutzys.
A step-on guide will be on board to direct the bus driver to the covered bridges of Union County. There will be opportunities for people to get off the bus to look at the bridges up close and take pictures.
In Marysville the group will visit Doc Henderson’s for dessert and drinks. There will be a guided tour aboard the bus of downtown Marysville.
There will be another stop on the way home (a surprise)! The bus driver will stop at rest areas as needed.
There is not a lot of walking on this trip. The cost is $49. Anyone may go on the trip. Payment may be made at a Senior Citizens meeting or can be sent to the treasurer at 203 E. North St., Ada, OH 45810.
