AMVETS Riders planning Vietnam remembrance

The AMVETS Riders met May 13 at the Post 1994. There were nine members and one guest present.
Minutes of April’s meeting were passed out and approved. There was not a finance report.
Under communications, the Riders were informed of a poker run coming up in Defiance on June 16.
Under old business, the Riders discussed the State Poker Run. Highway clean-up and the spaghetti dinner are May 19. The Riders are also working on trying to put together a program, calling it the Vietnam Remembrance Program. This year is the 50th anniversary of the start of the war.
The officers for the incoming year 2012-2013 are: Harold Sexton, president; Doug Bowen, first vice president; Matt Hamilton, second vice president; Judy Bowen, secretary; Penny Saylor, treasurer; Ben Saylor, J.A.; Steven Gliebe, sergeant-at-arms and Steve Puckett, chaplain.
