Couple celebrates 50th

Jean and Dale Dirkson are celebrating their 50th anniversary.
Dale and the former Janice Jean Flinn were united in marriage Sept. 29, 1963 at St. John’s Church by Pastor Keith Haag.
Dale is a retired dairy farmer. Jean is retired as a Lima News agent after 14 years. She was also a guard at Meritor for almost eight years. They are members of Grace Lutheran Evangelical Church. They are still living at the same house they moved into 50 years ago and still have a piece of their wedding cake after 50 years.
The couple are the parents of Laura Peterman of New Berlin, Wis., and Keith Dirkson and Esther Puff, both of Kenton. They also have two grandsons, Brandon and Richard Puff of Kenton, and one granddaughter, Brandi Peterman of New Berlin, Wis.
A reception will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Plaza Inn, Mount Victory, hosted by their children and grandchildren.
