HMH Guild receives reports

Hardin Memorial Hospital Guild met June 8 in the HMH conference room.
President Roberta Flinn opened the business meeting with a reading, “I am Old Glory.”
The administrative report was given by Shirley Byal. She informed the group that five of the 10 new exam rooms for the Specialty Clinic will be ready for use on July 1. Work will continue on the remaining five rooms with a completion date of December.
The secretary’s report was read and approved, as was the treasurer’s report. Treasurer Joyce Ramsey reported that the profit for the Easter ham sale was $375.
Ways and Means chair Sharon Good reminded the group of the uniform sale to be held June 20 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the HMH conference room. A date of Aug. 10 was set for the Ways and Means committee to meet to plan fundraisers for the 2012-2013 year.
The gift shop report was given by Linda Smith and she presented the Guild with a check for $500. Shirley Gillen gave the tray favor report. Flinn reminded everyone that membership letters have been sent and dues are now due. Linda Culley, Children’s Fund, reported she will be ordering stickers for the emergency room.
The gifts for the hospital committee suggested three items for the group to consider purchasing. They selected a new EKG machine and an oversized stretcher for the ER.
The Guild will recess for July and August and resume meeting in September.
President Flinn closed the meeting with a reading, “The Land I Call My Home.”
The next meeting of the Guild will be at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 in the HMH conference room.
