Marseilles committee plans summer festival

The Marseilles Park Committee met on Thursday, May 10 to discuss plans for the 2012 summer festival to be held on Saturday, July 21.
Activities being planned for the day include a 5K Run/Walk, Pancake and Sausage Breakfast, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, Bake Sale, Bakery Bingo, Put-Put Golf, Classic Car Show, Cornhole, a Kiddie Tractor Pull, karaoke, and a Chicken BBQ.  All proceeds from the festival benefit the Marseilles Park.
The park committee is accepting donations and is looking for adult and youth volunteers to help with the festival. Any Upper Sandusky middle school student who needs community service hours may volunteer to help by contacting Charlotte Leeth at 740-499-3064.
The next meeting of the Marseilles Park Committee will be Tuesday, May 22 at 7 p.m. Meetings are held at the Marseilles Volunteer Fire Department Community Room.
