Students display music talents

A Piano/Guitar Recital was held Sunday, April 15 in the Fellowship Hall of the St. John’s United Church of Christ at 3 p.m. by the students of Barbara Long.
Kelsey Stanfield, Lane Shirk and Colton Hale performed on the guitar, and Katie Sturgeon, Makayla Tackett, Chloe Anderson, Evan Lyle, Sarah Keefer and Elisabeth Keefer performed on the piano.  Elisabeth Keefer received a high school graduation gift. She and has taken piano lessons for 12 years and will be going to college in the Fall.
All the students received certificates of participation, music necklaces, pencils, bookmarks, etc. Kelsey Stanfield received the best attendance award, Colton Hale and Chloe Anderson received the second best and Evan Lyle received the third best award for the year May 2011 to April 2012.
Composers of selections performed were Lee, Menken, Faber, Key, Clarke, Alfred, Richards and Hayden.
