Tree Town Festival needs noodle makers and pie/cake bakers

The 2012 Tree Town Festival in Forest needs volunteer noodle makers and pie/cake bakers.
This year the Main Food Pavilion will be operated by local volunteers with Loretta Perkins as chairperson. She plans to make noodles on Thursday, June 28 and would like anyone interested in helping to call her cell 419-767-0119 or home 419-273-2749 and leave a message.
If she can get a consensus of the best day for the majority, the date could be changed to accommodate workers.
Additionally, the pavilion needs pie and cake bakers to donate their baked goods this year. Two-crust fruit pies and sheet cakes work the best. If you are interesting in donating, call Perkins at one of the numbers above. People also need to include an ingredients list of what they baked due to health board regulations.
When people deliver the goods, they may travel South on Speidel Street and then drive up to the back doors of the pavilion to drop them off on Thursday evening, July 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. They may also bring them on Friday, July 6 after 7 a.m. through the afternoon.
Volunteers that would be willing to work a shift in the serving line or help clear tables should also contact Perkins.
The event is slated for July 6, 7 and 8 in Gormley Park is sponsored by the Forest Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. Proceeds for this year’s festival will be used to help offset the cost of new Heart Monitors/ Defibrillators for the Jackson-Forest Ambulance District. For general festival information, contact the department at 419-273-2520.
