Tree Town royalty contest applications accepted

FOREST — The 2017 Tree Town Festival is now accepting applications for the festival royalty contests. There will be three competitions: prince and princess, king and queen, and festival baby. The winners will be chosen by the most festival tickets sold by the contestants.

The festival will be held July 7, 8 and 9 in Gormley Park, Forest.

The king and queen contestants must be a 2017 sophomore, junior or senior attending Riverdale High School or with a Forest address. The winner will receive a $150 Visa gift card and must sell at least 150 tickets to qualify for the prize.

Prince and princess contestants must be in the fourth, fifth and sixth grade at Riverdale or with a Forest address. The winner will receive a $150 Visa gift card and must sell at least 150 tickets to qualify for the prize.

Babies must be under three years of age by July 1, 2017 to enter the baby contest. The winner will receive a $150 Visa gift card and the family of the child must sell at least 150 tickets to qualify for the prize. Babies must also be from a Forest address or grandparents with a Forest address may enter their grandchildren.
