Meredith Ellen Phillips and Tyler Scott Smith were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Findlay by the Rev. Mark Hollinger.
The bride is the daughter of Dave and Joyce Phillips of Forest and the late Jill Phillips. The groom is the son of Mike and Denise Smith of Bryan.
Guests were registered by Anne Stuck and Kelsey Leonard, cousins of the bride of Kenton.
Serving as maid of honor was Megan Ulmer, childhood friend of the bride of Columbus. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Carruthers, cousin of the bride of Maumee; Stephanie Lengacher, stepsister of the bride of New Haven, Ind.; Michelle Burris of Kenton and Kylee Thacker of Belleville, childhood friends of the bride; Rachel Thrush, college friend of the bride of Louisville, Ky. and Amber Mauch, friend of the bride of Findlay. Flower girl was Ava Carruthers, cousin of the bride of Maumee.
Serving as best man was Jamie Lorentz, childhood friend of the groom of Houston, Texas. Groomsmen were Nate Smith of Columbus and Travis Smith of Montpelier, brothers of the groom; Jared Turner, college friend of the groom of Columbus; John Harvey, friend of the groom of Chicago, Ill.; Alex Oberlin, childhood friend of the groom of Columbus, and Will Gilson, college friend of the couple of Napoleon. Ringbearers were Braxtin Lengacher, nephew of the bride of New Haven, Ind., and Kiptyn Smith, nephew of the groom of Columbus.
A reception followed at Alexandria’s in Findlay.
A wedding trip was taken to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Kenton High School and a 2011 graduate of The University of Findlay where she majored in English education.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Bryan High School and a 2010 graduate of The University of Cincinnati where he majored in marketing. He is employed as an account executive at Elite Biomedical Solutions in Columbus.
The couple reside in Columbus.
