Winners of local 4-H judging announced

Approximately 330 4-H projects were judged at the community building at the Hardin Co. fairgrounds in Kenton on Wednesday.
Project judging is an annual event for youth who carry non-livestock projects. All 4-H members are required to participate in judging as a part of the steps they follow to complete their 4-H projects. Members bring in samples of their work and/or displays to share with judges and participate in an individual interview with the judge. Members with complete projects are then eligible to exhibit their projects in the 4-H building at the 2012 Hardin Co. Fair.
Judges noted that they were impressed with the overall improvement in project quality this year for Hardin County projects compared to last year and other counties.
The following youth received special recognition for their project work.  Those receiving state awards will represent Hardin County 4-H at the 2012 Ohio State Fair. All youth who receive a special award will also receive a special rosette or ribbon they can display on their project at the 2012 Hardin County Fair.
