The remote Fort McArthur Cemetery, west of Kenton, contains sixteen graves marking the resting place of some of Hardin County’s earliest white residents.

Despite its off-the-road location, the cemetery is well-maintained by the Cessna Township trustees and is visited regularly as is evident by the many coins and mussel shells left on top of the gravestones in honor of those buried there.
