Author-illustrator Suse MacDonald leads first and second grade students at the annual Young Authors Conference in a series of exercises as they make letters of the alphabet with their bodies. The conference was conducted Thursday at Ohio Northern University. MacDonald is the author of 19 picture books for children, including “Alphabet Animals” and “Alphabatics”. She encouraged the young writers from Ridgemont, Kenton, Upper Scioto Valley, Hardin Northern and Ada to practice their skills in the arts. MacDonald also visited area schools during her stay, which was sponsored by the Hardin County Educational Service Center.
