Bonnie McBride (left) and Hannah Derr (right), co-chairs for the 2012-2013 United Way of Hardin County annual campaign, sell a ticket to the third annual Mini-Football Drop to Chris Barker, office manager for the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, to kick off this year’s campaign. The mini-footballs will be dropped from an AEP bucket truck into an upturned football helmet. All footballs that stay in the helmet will share $1,000. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold. The drop will take place just prior to the Kenton-Coldwater football game on Aug. 24 at the north end of Robinson Field. Tickets are available for $5 from any board member or at the United Way office. All proceeds will be a part of the campaign to support 27 programs that serve Hardin County.
