A-Bar Rodeo show tonight at fair

There will be plenty of cowboys at the Hardin County Fair tonight with the return of the A-Bar Rodeo. The show begins at 8 p.m. in the grandstand.
Nancy Motter, fair secretary/treasurer, reported another good turnout on Thursday, with estimated attendance of 8,271, up from 7,717 in 2012. The paid gate was 1,477, up 99 from 1,378 a year ago.
The evening harness racing drew 556 spectators compared to 436 last year.

Friday, Sept. 6
7 p.m. – Renewable Energy Trends and Policy Overview by Eric Romich, OSU Extension field specialist, Community Building
8 p.m. – A-Bar Rodeo, grandstand
10 p.m. – Exhibit buildings and rides close
Saturday, Sept. 7
7:30 a.m. – Gates open
8 a.m. – Junior Fair Livestock Sale, arena; Dog Show, shelterhouse; Open Class Horse and Pony Show, horse arena
10 a.m. – Exhibit buildings open
10:30 a.m. – Special Pie Day judging, Arts and Crafts Building; Conservation Contest, Community Building
Noon – Rides open
1 p.m. – Homemakers Demonstrations, Community Building
7 p.m. – Sheep Lead Contest, arena; 3D Demolition Derby, grandstand
8 p.m. – Showman of Showmen contest, arena
10 p.m. – Exhibit buildings close
