The Hardin County Fair got underway today under rainy conditions. Hopefully the rain will clear before this evening when the crowning of the Junior Fair King and Queen takes place at 7 p.m. in the grandstand.
That will be followed by the High School Band Show.
Tuesday, Sept. 4
3 p.m. – Homemakers Dish Day, community building
3:30 p.m. – Junior Fair Beef Skillathon Contest
4 p.m. – Youth judging, arts and crafts building
7 p.m. – Crowning of Junior Fair King and Queen followed by High School Band Show, grandstand
10 p.m. – Exhibit buildings and rides close
Wednesday, Sept. 5
7:30 a.m. – Gates open
8 a.m. – Open Class Beef Show, arena
9 a.m. – Junior Fair Horse and Pony Show, horse show arena; Junior Fair Rabbit Show, rabbit show area; Junior Beef Showmanship, arena; Cultural Arts Judging, arts and crafts building
10 a.m. – Exhibit buildings open
11 a.m. – Junior Fair Born and Raised In Hardin County Steer Show, arena; Homemakers Dish Day, community building
Noon – Rides open
1 p.m. – Homemakers Demonstrations, community building; Open Class Wool Show
1:30 p.m. – Open Class and Junior Fair Sheep Breed Show, arena
2 p.m. – Junior Fair Dairy Show, arena
5 p.m. – Antique judging, arts and crafts building
6 p.m. – Junior Fair Sheep Showmanship and Junior Fair Market Lamb Show, arena
7 p.m. – Swing Choir Show and Society Singers, grandstand
10 p.m. – Exhibit buildings and rides close
