MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale Quiz Bowl team finished in a tie for fourth place in the Regional Tournament at Antwerp High School on Saturday, April 21.
The team had victories over Norwalk and Kalida. It qualified to compete at regionals by being Hancock County League champions.
The team will wrap-up its season at the NAQT High School National Tournament on May 25-27 in Atlanta, Ga.
Riverdale qualified for this honor when the team placed second out of 32 teams in the WNWO/BGSU Academic Challenge Tournament. At nationals it will compete against 240 top teams from around the country.
The Riverdale Quiz Bowl team will be holding an open house Pampered Chef fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Forest-Jackson Library to help pay for their trip to Atlanta.
