At your next celebration, you might consider planting a tree or giving out flower seeds. I would, in fact, consider purchasing something for you that would take the place of a balloon release. Continuing to do this activity leads people to believe that it is appropriate. Those who plan such activities should be responsible and aware of such issues. I’ve published facts against balloon releases three times in my column in the Kenton Times. It is illegal in many states already and will eventually be illegal here. Balloon releases are pollution and impacts our environment, killing animals. Thank you for your efforts to help people in our community but please keep this in mind in the future, to be good stewards of the earth. When we know better, we do better, I hope. Thank you.
