A Mount Victory man was sent to prison for 15 years and has been labeled a sexual offender for life following his conviction in Hardin County Common Pleas Court on sex-related charges.
According to court documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Donald Andrew Gammon II, 18969 TR 217, Mount Victory, was found guilty of seven counts of sexual battery and one charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. Judge William Hart sentenced Gammon to two years each for the battery charges and 12 months for the disseminating count for a total of 15 years. He was also fined $50 per offense for a total of $400 in fines.
Gammon, 40, was also identified as a Tier III sexual offender, which means he is to verify is location with law enforcement every 90 days for the rest of his life.
In other recent cases, Krista Hamilton, 880 W. Carey St., Kenton, was found guilty of three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs. Hart placed Hamilton on community control for three years and fined her $50 per charge for a total of $150. She is also to perform a total of 50 hours community service and pay restitution of $120 to the Hardin County Crime Task Force.
Dwayne S. Pugh, 516 E. Lehr Ave., Ada, was placed on one year of community control and fined $50 after being convicted of one count of petty theft. He was ordered to pay restitution of $630.25 to Luther Vallandingham, Canton, for a laptop computer and case.
Sarah E. Howard, 404 Center St., Kenton, was found guilty of illegal processing of drug document and tampering with evidence. She was placed on community control for two years and fined $100 per charge. Howard was also ordered to perform a total of 80 hours of community service.
