MV residents to see water service loss

MOUNT VICTORY — Some Mount Victory residents may experience a loss of water service today, said Village Administrator Dan Stuck.
Crews were to be repairing and replacing water lines through 8 p.m., he said.
Those affected with loss of water include homes and businesses on the east side of Main Street from the railroad to North Street; Washington St. from the railroad to the Sportsman’s Club; Hale Street from the railroad to the water treatment plant; E. North St. from Main to Hale streets and W. Taylor Street from West Mansfield Rd. to the western village limits.
“Consumers may lose water service for intermittent and extended periods due to repairs on water service lines,” said Stuck. “We do not anticipate an overnight loss of service to any consumer.”
In addition, there is a “Boil Advisory” for consumers in the listed areas, said Stuck.
The advisory is in effect when residents lose water service and will remain in effect until water samples have been analyzed and tested free of bacteria by a certified laboratory.
A public notification that the boil advisory is rescinded will be announced in The Kenton Times and on WKTN-FM, Stuck said.
