Swing Choir Show to take stage tonight

Honor guard

Members of the Amvets 1994 Post Honor Guard participated for the first time in Tuesday’s opening ceremony at the Hardin County Fair. The opening services were attended by a record number of veterans from throughout the area and took place in the grandstand.

There will be plenty of music and dancing in the Hardin County Fair grandstand this evening during the high school Swing Choir Show, which begins at 7 p.m.
Following the choirs, Hardin County’s own Society Singers will perform.
The fair got off to a good start Tuesday with an estimated attendance of 8,299, well above the 5,258 recorded a year ago. The paid gate was 1,482, up from 939 in 2012. Attendance at the band show was 993 compared to 830 last year.
