Crash kills Forest man

A Forest man was killed in an accident in Hancock County Monday.
According to the report from Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Joe Riker, 68, was traveling southbound on Twp. Rd. 184 at 2:43 p.m. in Delaware Township when he failed to yield at a stop sign at Twp. Rd. 150.
He was struck by a vehicle driven by Michelle Thompson, 48, of Arlington, who was driving westbound on Twp. Rd. 150. Thompson’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Riker’s vehicle.
Thompson was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for non-life threatening injuries by the Hanco EMS.
Riker was pronounced deceased on the scene of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
Assisting in the scene was the Delaware Twp. Fire Department, Hanco EMS, Dick’s Towing and Fender Benders Towing.
