Dunkirk man sentenced

A Dunkirk man was sent to prison for a year after being convicted of theft-related charges in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.
According to court documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Kevin Randall Shepherd, 332 1/2 W. Patterson St., Dunkirk, was found guilty of one count each of petty theft and tampering with evidence.
He was sentenced by Judge William Hart to one year in prison on the tampering charge and fined $50. He is to pay restitution to victim John Binau in the amount of $59.90. Shepherd was sentenced to six months in prison on the petty theft charge and was fined another $50. The prison terms are to be served concurrently for a total of one year.
