Election deadline nears

The deadline for partisan candidates to file for the May primary is Feb. 6 at 4 p.m.
It is also the deadline for local governments to place issues on the primary ballot, said Board of Elections Director Sandra Bookmyer.
There are four seats open on the Ada council which will be on the ballot in the election.
Kenton will have races for president of council, three council-at-large representatives, four ward council persons and city treasurer.
Also on the ballot is the position of Hardin County Municipal Court judge, said Bookmyer.
