Fair gets off to hot start

The Hardin County Fair got off to a hot start Tuesday with temperatures in the 90s.

The heat may have held down the crowd a bit as the estimated total attendance was 6,961 with a paid gate of 1,243.

That compares to an estimated crowd of 7,437 in 2017 with a paid gate of 1,328.

Attendance at the High School Band Show was 797 compared to 816 a year ago.
