Fatal fire at apartment complex ruled arson

State investigators have determined the fire which took the life of a Kenton man at Scioto Village in November was an arson. Apartment building B is scheduled to be razed Tuesday, but firefighters posted signs at the curbs this morning offering up to $5,000 for information in the fatal arson. The apartment complex fire which took the life of a Kenton man has been determined to have been the result of arson.

Signs offering a reward of up to $5,000 have been posted for information leading to the arrest of the responsible person.

The fire on the morning of Nov. 17, 2015, is believed to have originated in a second floor apartment on the west side of Scioto Village Apartments’ B building, Prosecutor Brad Bailey said today.
