Good turnout

Of the 17,822 registered voters in Hardin County, 9,160 voted in Tuesday’s election, or 51 percent.
Board of Elections Director Sandy Bookmyer said today while that figure is impressive, it is not a county record. Two years ago the turnout was 53 percent.
The turnouts seemed to be issue-driven, she said. In 2009, Ohio voted on the casino issue.
“This year it seemed like Issue II and the Kenton City Schools levy brought voters out,” she said.
