Residents and town crews worked Friday evening to clear more than 100 trees from the streets of Forest. A storm roared into Forest with wind gusts estimated at 80 miles per hour, leaving much of the town without electricity late Friday. Village officials were told some sections of Forest may not have power restored until Monday.

Workers clean class and prepare to board up a plate glass window at the Mount Victory Hardware after it was blown in during Friday afternoon’s wind storm. The village was without power for a time, but electric service was restored Friday evening.
