Nominations being accepted for Alliance annual recognitions

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Community Service Awards, Women LEAD Excellence Award and Young Professionals Achievement Award.

The criteria for each award nomination is as follows:

Citizen of the Year – based upon an individual’s outstanding achievements and contributions, which have made Hardin County a better place to live, work and prosper.

Business of the Year – a business or industry that gives back to the community, supports local business climate, and creates or encourages economic growth.

Small Business of the Year – a business or industry with 50 employees or less that gives back to the community, supports local business climate, and creates or encourages economic growth.

Community Service Award – given to an outstanding individual or organization dedicated to helping others and improving Hardin County.

Women LEAD Excellence Award – given to an outstanding woman dedicated to the values of Women LEAD: Leadership through actions; Embracing personal growth; Advancing career opportunities and Developing strategic relationships

Young Professional Alliance Leadership Award – given to an outstanding Young Professional (21-45) who is an emerging leader demonstrating excellence in collaboration, service and innovation in their career field or profession.

To nominate a person, group or business for these awards, complete an application and return with a short explanation of the qualifications that make this nominee deserving of the award. The application can be downloaded from the Alliance’s weekly email or picked up in the Alliance office.

Entries should be submitted by Dec. 31, 2017 to the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, 225 S. Detroit St., Kenton, Ohio 43326.  Nominations may be faxed to 419-674-4876 or emailed to alliance@hccba.com.

Award winners will be announced at the Alliance’s annual meeting in late February, 2018.
