Supporting Santo for judge

To the editor:

My name is David Holbrook. I am a retired member of the Hardin County law enforcement community. In my 20+ years of service, I have worked as a patrolman, juvenile probation officer and court bailiff. I worked as the detective for the Hardin County Prosecutor’s Office under the commission of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department.

During my time as a detective in the prosecutor’s office, I had the pleasure of working with court magistrate Maria Santo. Maria’s work ethic is fantastic. Her ethics and integrity are above reproach. She is as fair an assistant prosecutor as anyone I have ever worked with.

The one thing I value that Maria taught me while working with her in the prosecutor’s office was it was not always about gaining a conviction, it was about seeking justice, and making the right decision that best served the public and applied accountability to the defendant in the case.

At this time, I am endorsing Maria Santo for the position of Common Pleas Court judge. She has the honesty, fairness, compassion and integrity to be a great Common Pleas judge for the Hardin County residents. I ask you to vote experience on November 8, and join me in supporting Maria Santo.
