Larry Gossard and his son, Bryce, prepare for Sunday’s Family Fun Day and Car Show at the Simon Kenton School. Activities for the event will be 1-6 p.m. and will benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation Racing 4 Research organization. A car/hot rod show will be featured with trophies going to the top 20 entries. There will be a funny car which looks like an ice cream truck, music, face painting, clowns, pony rides, games a dunk tank and food. There is no charge for admission, but donations are accepted. There was $3,000 raised at last year’s event and Gossard said he hopes to top that amount for this, the third year of the event.
