Relay for Life lap
Upper Scioto Valley students (from left) Miranda Holbrook, Megan Carey, Julieann Castle and Ashlynn Manns take their turn at a lap around the school parking lot during the USV Relay For Life event Friday. The district raised an estimated $8,000 for the American Cancer Society with pledges, games and booths. Student Laura Bentley, whose goal it was to beat her amount of $300 from last year, donated a total of $2,200 for the relay. She raised the funding through auctioning off Vera Bradley purses and a bake/yard sale.
