Amos Edward ‘Big Ed’ Beck Posted on April 3, 2017 0 Amos ‘Big Ed’ Beckage 50, Lima A celebration of life service for Amos Edward “Big Ed” Beck will be at a later date. He died at 10:04 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Aug. 3, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Amos Beck and Marjorie (Howe) Andrews. Surviving are his companion, Rebecca Warner of Lima; a daughter, Mackenzie Alexis Beck of Lima; step children, Summer Warner of Lima, April Warner of Lima, Steven Staup of Lima and Damon Staup of Lima; brothers, Michael (Jessica) Andrews of Shell Lake, Wis., and Tim (Jan) Andrews of Lima; numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend, Dave (Sharon) Pitson of Lima; friends of the recovery community and his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Dye. He drove tow truck and worked for a traveling carnival, where he painted murals. He attended Lima Community Church, was a member of AA and was proud to be sober for 15 years. Big Ed enjoyed fishing, cooking, grilling, making beef jerky, and listening to music. He loved riding his motorcycle and rebuilding cars. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Price McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is handling arrangements.
