Services for Carson E. Shark will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Clark Shields Funeral Home, Forest by Pastor Denny Livingston. Burial will follow at Hueston Cemetery with full military gravesite rites conducted by McVitty VFW Post 1182, American Legion Post 259 both of Forest Amvets Post 1994 of Kenton.
Friends may call 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
He died at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 in Fairhaven Health Care Community, Upper Sandusky.
He was born Aug. 4, 1924 in Mounty Victory to Elmer and Nellie (Conkle) Shark. He married Betty M. Ingle on Aug. 3, 1946 and she preceded him in death on May 7, 2012.
Surviving are five sons and two daughters, Carson Shark II of California, Marla (Roger) Hemmerly of Kenton, Vincent (Susie) Shark of Forest, Kathie (Denis) Phillips of Forest, Jerry Shark of Oklahoma, John (Mary) Shark of Lexington and Robert (Nancy) Shark of Missouri; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Sherry Shark, two grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters.
He retired after 30 years from Rockwell in the Maintenance Department.
A World War II Navy veteran, he attended Forest United Methodist Church.
In his early years he enjoyed dancing with his wife Betty. Mr. Shark also enjoyed big band, classical, country and the listening to the oldies.
For hobbies you would see him working on his lawn, gardening, and playing cards. He loved to travel especially to Hawaii, Alaska and out West.
