Services for Gary L. Salyer will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Siferd-Orians Funeral Home in Lima.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
He died at 3:17 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born July 15, 1949 in Kenton to James and Marjorie “Boots” (Kindle) Salyer. His father preceded him in death in 2008 and his mother survives in Dola. On Feb. 7, 1995, he married Ginger Oliver and she survives in Lima.
Also surviving are nine children, Donna Diehl of Kendalville, Ind., Barry Rose, Trenna Rose, Sonia (Bill) Irvin, James Lundy, Travis (Jamie) Lundy, Carl (Barbara Henry) Rose and Jeff Salyer, all of Lima, Jayme (Chad) Acton of Dola; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; four siblings: Jim (Joy) Salyer of Savannah, GA, Joyce (Dennis) Pees of Dunkirk, Dave (Teri) Salyer of Ada and Marsha (Brian) Flinn of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Lundy.
He had been a tool and gauge inspector for General Dynamics Land Systems.He was a 1967 graduate of Hardin Northern High School.
