age 83, Kenton
Services for Glenn E. “Posey” Flowers will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home in Kenton by the Rev. Jeff Waite. Interment will follow in Otterbein Cemetery, Mount. Victory.
Friends may call 3-7 p.m. Thursday.
He died Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born July 6, 1928 to the late Luther and Zelda (Hankins) Flowers. He married Dora E. Clark on Feb. 12, 1954 and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Daryl (Kathy) Flowers, Jerry (JoDene) Flowers, Steve (Tina) Flowers, all of Kenton and Kim (Kimberly) Flowers of North Carolina; nine grandchildren, Lynn (Mike) Brim, Mark (Sheri) Flowers, Todd Flowers, Diane (Ryan) Klenke, Gail Flowers, Matthew Flowers, Sarah (Chris) Milne, Hannah Flowers and Nolan Flowers; four great-grandchildren, Sage Flowers, Wyatt Flowers, Kate Klenke and Abegail Flowers; and a sister, Doris (Virden) Ault of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis and a brother, Raymond.
He graduated from Kenton High School in 1948. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church and Goshen Grange. He was a retired farmer and drove a school bus for Kenton City Schools. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus when he was younger and he loved his grandchildren.
