Services for James “Jim” C. Goslee will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home, Kenton by Tim Pasma. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Kenton with military rites by Amvets Post 1994.
Friends may call 3-7 p.m. Tuesday.
He died on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019 at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.
He was born on May 6, 1933 in Kenton to the late Robert and Martha (Wingate) Goslee. On March 1, 1959 he married Janet Wood and she preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 2010.
Surviving are a daughter, Diana Mitchell of Mount Victory; three sons, Rodney Goslee, Todd Goslee and Dean Goslee, all of Kenton; three sisters, Joyce Hanson of Minnesota, Judy Hogue of Kenton and Jane Ellcessor of Jenera; four grandchildren, William (Michelle) Goslee of Kenton, Cody Goslee of Kenton, Cortlyn Mitchell of Mount Victory and Lane Mitchell of LaRue; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Brooklyn and Paige and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Goslee.
James was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Amvets Post 1994.
He retired from the Budd Company in Carey and had also worked for 13 years at International Car and Rockwell International.
James enjoyed visiting and playing cards with family and friends, reading about tractors and trains, especially the John Deere B Series and he always wanted his Kenton Times paper.
He loved mowing yards, playing checkers, listening to country music and bluegrass.
He especially loved his cat, Fluffy.
