Lewis Gossard
age 87, Bluffton
Services for Lewis C. Gossard will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today.
He died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 29, 1924 in Roundhead Township to Myrel E and Roxie M. King Gossard. On Dec. 22, 1945 he married Bernice Crawfis and she preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Gossard of Dublin and Gary (Suzi) Gossard of Moorhead, Ky.; two daughters, Darlene (Jim) Badertscher of Leipsic and Bonnie Gibson of Bluffton; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carroll (Edna) Gossard of Findlay, Paul Gossard of Columbus Grove and Kenneth (Barb) Gossard of Findlay; and a sister, Donna (John) Klingler of Ada.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Suzzan Gossard and Mary Ann Campbell; two brothers, Roger and Gene Gossard and an infant sister.
Lewis retired from Hobbs Trucking Company, Findlay and has also worked at Cooper Tire, Findlay.
He was a member of the Vance Street Roadrunners, enjoyed playing cards, bingo and fishing.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Putnam County Hospice.
