Marjorie I. Sobas

age 82, Marion
The funeral mass for Marjorie I. Sobas will be conducted by Father Michael Nimocks in the St. Marys Catholic Church in Marion at 1 p.m. Saturday with burial to follow in the Wolfe Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, Marion.
She died at 7:02 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born in Toledo on April 20, 1929 to the late Howard and Laura (Hisey) Pribe. She married Walter P. Sobas on Aug. 24, 1957 in LaRue and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1988 in Marion.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Lonnie) Caldwell Smith and Susie (Jim) Sexton, both of Marion and seven grandchildren, Dustin, Haley, Josh, Jessica and Marcus Caldwell, and Araby and Emily Sexton.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, past member of the Big Island Community Club, and a graduate of Mount Victory High School.
Marjorie has lived in Marion for the past 60 years and has enjoyed the fellowship with her friends at Hampton Woods.
Donations to the Marion County Humane Society in Marjorie’s name would be greatly appreciated.
