Services for Larry W. Beagle will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Good Hope Lutheran Church, Arlington, by Pastors Elder Jack Allen, Phil Nigh and Glen Funk. Burial will be in the Bishop Cemetery in Eagle Township.
Friends may call 3-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-9 p.m. Monday at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
He died at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1954, in Findlay to the late Clifford G. Beagle and Wanda K. (Little) Beagle. His mother survives in Eagle Township. He married Debra J. (Riegle) Beagle on Sept. 6, l975, and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Jodi (Bret) Rickle of Vanlue, Wendi (Jason) Morey of Arlington and Shandell Beagle at home; five sons, Chad Beagle of Jenera, Brian Beagle of Findlay, Justin, Joe and Adam Beagle at home; nine grandchildren; two brothers, John (Deb) Beagle of Mount Blanchard and Charles (Carla) Beagle of Findlay; and three sisters, Rosemary (Jerry) Gillam of Nobelsville, Ind., Rosalee (Dan) Saltz of Findlay and Jane (John) Elledge of Arlington.
He graduated from Arlington High School in l973. He and his family owned and operated Beagle's Blooming Business for 25 years. He was a lifelong farmer.
He was a member of the Hancock County Sheep Improvement Association, served on the Hancock County Fair Board, an adviser for the Jolly Shepherds 4-H Club for thirty years, was selected as an Outstanding 4-H Alumni, served as representative for the Hancock County Farm Bureau, served on the Arlington Recreation Council, chaired the Arlington Community Homecoming Festival Food Committe for many years, volunteered as a YMCA youth basketball coach, Arlington Youth Soccer coach, foster parent for 15 years, taught vo ag at Vanlue High School and worked part-time at Kohl's Distribution Center.
He was a member and deacon of the Eagle Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Blackburn
Frank M., 90
West Liberty
formerly of Forest

Services for Frank M. Blackburn will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Clark Shields Funeral Home in Forest by Pastors Steve Umphress and Dennis Livingston. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the York Center Cemetery with full military graveside services conducted by McVitty VFW Post 1182 and American Legion Post 259, both of Forest.
Friends may call 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Saturday.
He died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty.
He was born Aug. 16, 1917, in Byesville to Thomas S. and M. Mildred (Spaid) Blackburn. He married Vera E. Tallman on March 29, 1941, and she survives in West Liberty.
Also surviving is a daughter, Karen (John) Roettger of West Liberty; a son, Al (Jacki) Blackburn of Southport, N.C.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Corrine (Orland) Ruby of Sebring and Marsena Miller of Richwood.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
He was a graduate of Byesville High School and Ohio University. He received a master's degree from Ohio State University.
He began his teaching career at Broadway Schools in Union Co. in 1939. He was Hardin Co. Superintendent of Schools from 1956-1976. He also served as superintendent for one year at Bellpoint, seven years at Byhalia-York and two years at Forest. He spent 37 years in education, with 30 years as an administrator.
He was an income tax preparer for 25 years.
He was a 4 1/2-year veteran of the United States Army during World War II and was discharged as a chief warrant officer.
He was member of Forest United Methodist Church where he was the former treasurer for 26 years, former member of Board of Trustees and was on the Pastoral Relations Committee.
He was a member of Senate Lodge 378 F & AM, charter member of the Forest Park Board and was an elections board member for 15 years.
He was on the Riverdale Board of Education for eight years, Ohio and Hardin Co. Retired Teachers Association and Buckeye Association of School Administration.

Memorial services for Vesta P. Griffith will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada by the Rev. Patrick Allen.

She died at 9:09 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Maple Crest Senior Living Village in Bluffton.
She was born March 7, 1916, in Marion to George W. and Beatrice (Arquett) Miller. On May 26, 1935, she married Robert B. Griffith and he died Sept. 7, 1988.
Surviving are a son, James A. “Stick” Griffith of Lakeview; two daughters, Bea (Loyd) Agin of Ada and Bobbie (Lee) Hansel of Locus Grove, Ga.; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Clarence Miller and an infant sister.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ada. She was formerly a member of the Order of Eastern Stars Chapter 6 of Ada.

Services for Samuel L. Motter will be 11 a.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home in Kenton by the Rev. Corey Carroll. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in Kenton.

He died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Marion General Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1921, in Alger to Paul and Cora (Burr) Motter. On June 7, 1940, he married Edith Simpkins and she survives in Marion.
Also surviving is a daughter, Sharon (James) Luton of Marion; a son, Marion “Bud” (Sally) Motter of Kenton; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and a brother, James (Eileen) Motter of Dunkirk.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Hastings, Helen Humbarger and Mildred Pfeister and three brothers, Emmett Motter, Ralph Motter and Paul Motter Jr.
He retired from Rockwell International in Kenton.
He was a member of the Lima Assembly of God Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.

Services for Dorothy M. Strawser will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eichholtz Funeral Home in Rushsylvania by the Revs. Evan Wall, Lloyd Ferguson and Russell Williams.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday.
She died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at her daughter's residence in Rushsylvania.
She was born April 24, 1914, in Harper to Glenn and Blance (Chapman) Miller. She married Truman Aubrey Strawser and he preceded her in death July 7, 1945.
Surviving are a son, Glenn (Shirley) Strawser of Rushsylvania; two daughters, Gloria (Jack) Daines of West Liberty and Alice Strawser of Rushsylvania; a sister, Helen Mitchell of Austin, Texas; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was a 1933 graduate of Rushsylvania High School.
She was a librarian at the Rushsylvania Library for 52 years.
She was a member of the Rushsylvania Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the While Guild. She served on the Rushsylvania Elections Board and was a life member of the Women's Eagles Auxiliary in Bellefontaine.
