Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home in Kenton.
She died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.
She was born in LaJolla, Calif., to Elmer "Bus" and Helen Siemon on March 1, 1952.
Surviving are her two daughters, Heather (Frank) Shoffner of Kenton and Tiffany (Eric) Cobb of Mount Victory; five grandchildren, Hanna and Hayden Shovvner, Shyann Ashbrook and Courtney and Deric Cobb and a sister, Carole (J. Michael) Phillips of Cincinnati.
She was a world traveler in her childhood and adolescence.
She lived in Tripoli, Libya, where her father was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. The family then moved to the southeastern coast of England, driving across North Africa, Spain and France to reach their new home.
She started grade school in Montgomery, Ala., and continued in Kaiserslautern, Germany and Minot, North Dakota, before her parents returned to Kenton.
She was a 1970 graduate of Kenton High School and attended Heidelberg University in Tiffin.
While in school, she worked at Hill's Drug Store on Kenton's square. She had worked at International Paper for 25 years, starting as a packer and rising to supervisor of the lid line.
She also had been a volunteer paramedic with the BKP rescue squad.
Her greatest joy came from her family and its activities, which she built into treasured traditions. Holidays, birthdays and anniversaries were lovingly orchestrated to the delight of both young and old. She did not limit her definition of "family" to her relatives, so she frequently arrived at work with cookies and other homemade treats for her "adopted sons and daughters."
