Services for Janis Jean Davis will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church where friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. Patricia Stout will officiate and burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery.
Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is in charge of arrangements.
She died Wednesday evening, March 12, 2008 at her home.
She was born Sept. 22, 1925 in Leesburg Twp. to Eldon Jennings and Dorothy D. (Daniels) Ballard. On October 19, 1946 she married Robert L. Davis in Greenup, Ky. and he died October 2, 1989.
Surviving are a son, Ty (Connie) Davis of Richwood; two daughters, Tonya Payne of Magnetic Springs and Tara (Keith) Powers of Richwood; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bette L. (Lloyd) Cox, of Columbus.
She was a member of the Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church. She was active in the Republican Party and served on the election board.
She was retired from the Ohio Quarter Horse Association where she had worked as a secretary for 25 years.

Arrangements for Michael D. Risner are incomplete at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger.
He died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
