He died at 10:51 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Loren W., 82
Prospect
Services for Loren W. Gast will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Prospect by Pastor Russell Makant. Burial will be in the Prospect Cemetery, where a military service will take place.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Thursday.
He died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Community Healthcare Center.
He was born July 10, 1925, to Paul B. and Irene E. (Dodrill) Gast in Prospect. On Sept. 25, 1947, he married Dolores E. Pitts and she survives in Prospect.
Also surviving a daughter, Judy Theresa Gast of Columbus; two sons, Bruce Michael (Bonnie) Gast of Prospect and Brian Stephen (Andrea) Gast of Brookville, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul B. Gast Jr.
He graduated from Prospect High School in 1943 and joined the Army. He served in the 1st Infantry Division, 26th Infantry Regiment. He was involved in the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944 (D-Day). Later in the European Theatres, he fought in the Battle of the Bulge at the Huertgen Forest. He was awarded, among other medals, the Bronze Star Medal.
He worked at the Universal Cooler, the Marion Engineer Depot and retired after 20 years from the Defense Construction Supply Center in Whitehall.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect and served many years as a deacon.
He was also a member of the Battle Run Fire Department and the American Legion Post 368 in Prospect.

Services for Nellie E. Jett will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada by Pastor Trent Boedicker. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and until the time of services Thursday.
She died at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.

A graveside memorial service for Sandra Lawrence will be at a later date in Grove Cemetery by Pastor Dennis Burns.
There will be no visitation.
She died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at her home.
She was born May 5, 1963, in Kenton to Raymond and Pamela (Nichols) Morlock Sr., and her father survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, Raymond Morlock Jr. and Dennis Morlock, both of Tennessee; a daughter, Misty Love Morrison of Sidney and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Richard Eugene Morlock.
She was a homemaker.
