Services for George M. Galvin will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada by Rev. G. Alan Brown, II. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and until time of the service on Saturday.
He died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Lost Creek Care Center in Lima.
He was born on July 27, 1923 in Wolf Summit, WV. to John and Elva (Griffin) Galvin. On June 4, 1949 he married Mary Alice Harbert, she survives in Ada.
Also surviving are two sons, R. Thomas (Dolores) Galvin of New Haven, Ind. and Daniel L. Galvin of Ada; a sister, Danelda (Bud) Boggs of Stonewood, WV. and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Galvin.
He retired after 14 years with the Ford Motor Company in Lima. He previously worked at Magnavox Corporation in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
He was a member of the American Legion Pots #96 of Lima for 15 years.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran serving as Staff Sergeant in the Air Corps from Feb. 8, 1943 to Oct. 29, 1945 during WWII.
He was formerly a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church in New Haven, Ind.
He graduated from Lumberport High School in 1942.

Ada

Funeral services for Jon M. Lissner will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada with a graveside service at 3 p.m. Monday at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton.
Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
He died at 9:03 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2008, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born July 15, 1967, in Cook County, Chicago, to Fred W. and Carol Joyce (Kuligowski) Lissner. Both survive in Huron and are formerly of Ada. On Sept. 16, 1989, he married Julie A. Sheuer- lein and she survives in Ada.
Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey David Lissner of Ada; a brother, Mark Lissner of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Pamela Marie (Gary) Tenwalde of Ada and Merri Beth Laderer of Waynes- field.
He worked for Ferguson Enterprises in Sales and delivery. He previously worked at Schwan’s in Findlay, Ada and Indian Lake.
He was a graduate of Ada High School in 1985. He was a member of the E Clampus Vitas (a fraternal miners organization) while he lived in California. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1986 to 1990.
He loved the outdoors and was a die hard Cleveland Browns fan.

Roush
Joan E., 83
formerly of Melmore

Services for Joan E. Roush will be 7 p.m. Friday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call 3-7 p.m. Friday.
She died at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Ruffing Family Care Center in Tiffin.
She was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Arcadia to Richard and Leah (Bookmyer) Davis, who are deceased. On Feb. 24, 1954, she married Wilbur G. Roush and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2003.
Surviving are three sons, Timothy (Peg) Roush of Melmore, Dennis (Angela) Roush of Tiffin and Ron (Roxie) Roush of Rural Republic; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She retired as cafeteria manager of the Melmore schools after 20 years. She also worked as a nurse’s aide at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
She was a member of the Melmore United Methodist Church and a former Sunday school teacher and past superintendent of Sunday School at the church.
She was a member of the former Honey Creek Rebekah Lodge. She was also a member of the former Melmore Pinochle Card Club; the former Liberty Club and of the Tiffin Daughters of America.
She was the Matron of Eden Junior Grange for 25 years and a member of Bloom Community Grange in Bloomville.

Wilcox
William E., 56
Ada

Memorial services for William E. Wilcox will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the English Chapel on the Campus of the Ohio Northern University in Ada by Chaplain Vernon LaSala. A private burial will be in Preston Cemetery near Alger.
He died at 9:02 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born Sept. 10, 1951, in Lima. His biological mother was Ilene Samons, who survives in Lima. He was adopted and raised by Woodrow and Florene (Brumett) Wilcox and they are deceased.
William and Linda Lee Karstens-Wilcox have been together since Jan. 1990 and she survives in Ada.
Surviving are three sons, Nathanael Wilcox and William “Billy” Wilcox, Jr., both of Tacoma, Wash., and Jason Rayl of Ada; a daughter, Angela Wilcox of Tacoma, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Delsay Karstens of Vancouver, Wash.; seven grandchildren; five brothers, Bert Eden of Houston, Texas, Ronnie Samons, Donnie Samons, James Samons and Carl Samons, all of Lima and two sisters, Faye Samons and Bernice Samons, both of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Wilcox.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany and Vietnam from 1969 to 1973.
He worked for Sodexho in the Dickie Building at Ohio Northern University as a custodian for five years.
